Samir is an Adjunct Professor at Singapore Management University teaching Performance Management and Compensation as well as a Partner at EY in People Advisory Services, Singapore. He possesses extensive consulting experience and has worked with several organisations in the areas of business strategies linked to people-organisation dynamics across ASEAN.
In addition to that, he has worked on numerous competency, performance and rewards design, and implementation projects. He was a Project Partner in the Refresh of Skills Framework for Accountancy and development of Skills Framework for Logistics, Tourism, Public Transport, Wholesale Trade, Engineering Services and Financial Services as well as the conduct of Wage Study for sectors commissioned by SkillsFuture Singapore, Workforce Singapore and their respective lead agencies. Throughout Samir’s career, he has also led the development of competencies (core/leadership and technical) for a State-Owned Vietnamese bank employing over 10,000 people where he integrated the competency framework to the entire lifecycle – recruiting, compensation, learning and development including career frameworks.
For Distributor network of a Fortune 50 Oil Company, he has developed and implemented a Workforce Management Toolkit built on Competency Based HR Systems covering Attraction, On boarding, Rewarding as well as Development for distributors across Asia Pacific. Samir is also a Steering Committeee member for analytics project on Job Role Clustering and Skills Taxonomy with SkillsFuture Singapore. Samir holds a Masters Degree (MBA) from XLRI and is a Graduate of Commerce.
